Hi, I’m Kisha, Executive Chef, Instructor and Food Personality. While I wear a lot of chefs hat…. You can always find me in the Kitchen focused and locked in, or helping get a good food experience.


I received my formal culinary training at Stratford University where I earned a dual bachelor’s degree in Advanced Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management.


As a competitive chef, you may find me battling it out in a kitchen near you. My back to back top 10 finishes in the World Food Championships Burger Category were just as sweet as my 1st place and best in division wins for my Southern Sweet Lime Pound Cake Recipe at the National Capital Area Cake Show. Don’t let my sweetness fool you, I can still get saucy in the kitchen and I took home the Grand Prize at the Mid-Atlantic Chili Challenge with Riunite Wine to prove it!


You may have even caught me as a competitor on the Food Network’s show Fakers vs Bakers Brownie Points episode! As well as seen on the WFC Film TV doing Winning Recipes or Quick Recipes, showcasing for VIP.


I truly love what I do and I enjoy bringing that joy to my clients. As a culinary instructor, I share my passion for cooking with other food enthusiast through my partnerships with Cozymeal, which is an in-home cooking class or private dinner party and Extravagant Affairs, where I’m a banquet chef, setting up for fabulous events.


I started my personal chef and dessert business called TheKeyIngredient, LLC in 2014 where I provide personal chef services for events and private clients. Cooking for clients or family has always been a great thing for me and I strive for excellence whenever I do. I’m constantly working on my skills and knowledge base to stay ahead in the culinary field. My goal is to always leave you with an experience and story through the food.


I have competed and won in Numerous competitions for the past 3years, building elegant designs for cakes, cupcakes, etc... and putting together a savory cooking portfolio for meal planning, private dinners, and new projects.
